Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted, chopped dates
3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. oleo
1 beaten egg
2 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
3/4 c. pecan pieces
coconut
more pecan pieces
Preparation

Put dates, sugar, egg and butter in Dutch oven and heat.
Stir until dates melt.
Remove from heat.
Add Rice Krispies and pecans. Mix well.
Cool.
Roll portions into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in coconut or pecans.
