Missionary Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. water
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 Tbsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 stick butter
1 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 lb. raisins
Preparation

Sift flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves onto sheet of waxed paper.
Bring water to a boil.
Add raisins and sugar and boil for 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat.
Add butter, walnuts and dry ingredients.
Mix well and spoon into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
Loaf pans may be lined with foil to make it easier to remove from pans.
Foil should also be greased.
