Sweet Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. cooking oil
    4 egg yolks
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. hot water
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. grated raw potatoes
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine oil and sugar; beat well.
    Add egg yolks; beat well. Add hot water, then dry ingredients.
    Stir in grated potatoes and nuts.
    Add vanilla and beat well.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, then fold into batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 in cake pans.
