Broccoli-Cauliflower Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 bunch broccoli
1 head cauliflower
1/2 c. onions, chopped
1/3 c. green pepper, chopped
1 c. mayonnaise
1 c. sour cream
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 to 1 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
1/2 c. water chestnuts, sliced (optional)
1 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced (optional)
Preparation

Separate broccoli and cauliflower into small pieces.
Add onion and green pepper.
Mix mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar. Add to the vegetables.
Fold in grated cheese.
Crisp fry or broil bacon; crumble into small pieces and fold in, saving a few to sprinkle over top.
Chill well.
Serves 10 to 12.
