Cream Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1 c. milk
    2 c. cut up broccoli
    1/2 tsp. thyme, crushed
    1 small bay leaf
    dash of garlic powder
Preparation
    Combine chicken broth, onion, broccoli and all the seasonings together.
    Omit flour, milk and margarine at this time.
    Cook broccoli, chicken broth, onion and seasonings to boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes.
    Put vegetable mixture in blender until creamy.
    Set aside.
    In same pan melt butter.
    Add salt and flour; stir until smooth.
    Then add milk until thickens.
    Add to broccoli mixture until heated.
    Add 1 cup broccoli florets.
