Ugly Duckling Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. yellow cake mix
    1 (16 oz.) can fruit cocktail
    2 2/3 c. (2 packets) Baker's Angel Flake coconut
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
Preparation
    Combine cake mix, fruit cocktail, 1 1/3 cups (1 packet) of coconut and eggs in large mixer bowl. Blend; beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
    Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.
    Bring butter, granulated sugar and milk to a boil; boil 2 minutes.
    Remove from heat; stir in remaining coconut.
    Spoon over warm cake.
    Top with prepared whipped topping, if desired.
