Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium sized yellow squash
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. green pepper (optional)
    1 c. grated cheese
    crushed saltines
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except saltines and 1/2 cup cheese. Pour into buttered casserole dish.
    Sprinkle with cracker crumbs and reserved cheese.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
    Freezes well.
