Pennsylvania Dutch Sand Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 lb. butter
    4 c. flour
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 dash salt
Preparation
    Mix ingredients.
    Form into rolls or logs.
    Wrap in waxed paper and place in refrigerator overnight.
    Slice 1/4-inch thick. Sugar may be sprinkled on top before baking.
    Keep batter cold between slicings.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
