Zucchini Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. zucchini (about 8 small)
    1 small onion
    1/4 c. canning salt
    2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery salt
    1 tsp. turmeric
    3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash and cut zucchini into slices; peel and cut onion into quarters, then slice very thin.
    Add to zucchini.
    Sprinkle zucchini and onion with salt; add cold water to cover.
    Let stand for 2 hours; drain.
    Bring remaining ingredients to boil.
    Pour over zucchini and onion.
    Let stand for 2 hours.
    Bring all ingredients to boiling point; heat 5 minutes.
    Pack hot into jars; process 15 minutes in boiling water bath.
