Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    pinch of salt
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda in 1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients and add enough flour to make stiff.
    Roll in teaspoon size balls and press flat with fingers on cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
