Jam Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs
    2 c. white sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 c. butter
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 c. raisins (eat)
    1 c. jam
    1 c. pecans
    1 c. black walnuts
    1 pkg. candied pineapple rings (2)
    2 pkg. candied cherries (green and red) for color
    1 c. dates
    1/2 c. figs
Preparation
    Cream
    butter
    and
    sugar.
    Add well beaten eggs.
    Sift spices,
    flour
    and salt.
    Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add to flour mixture.
    Put raisins, nuts, candied fruits, figs and dates in flour mixture.
    Add jam.
    Bake approximately 2 hours at 250\u00b0 (you might need to put a pan of water under bottom of cake to keep it from getting too hard).
