Mrs. William A. Falls Delicate Cake(Heritage) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 egg whites, beaten
    3 c. plain flour
    3/4 c. sweet milk
    lemon flavoring
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add sifted flour, soda and cream of tartar.
    Add milk; fold in beaten egg whites.
    Add flavoring. Bake in a tube pan for 1 hour at 300\u00b0 to 350\u00b0.
