Pork Chops With Orange Pilaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 pork chops (1-inch thick)
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    2 1/2 c. water
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    2 chicken flavored bouillon cubes
    1 Tbsp. celery salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. raw rice
    1/2 c. broken, fine egg noodles
    2 oranges
Preparation
    In large, heavy skillet, heat shortening or some of fat trimmed from the pork chops.
    Add chops and brown slowly on both sides over low heat (10 to 15 minutes).
    Remove chops to plate.
    Add water to skillet with chopped onion, bouillon cubes, grated orange rind, celery salt, pepper, raw rice and broken egg noodles.
    Heat to boiling, stirring until bouillon cubes dissolve.
