Ingredients

                            1/2 c. butter
 
1 c. sugar
1 large egg
2 to 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
- 
                            Cream together the butter and sugar.
 
Blend in egg.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt and add to mixture. Add vanilla.
Roll into 1-inch balls.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with bottom of a small glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
