Basic Pie Crust - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. ice water
Preparation

With pastry blender, cut vegetable shortening into flour and salt until mixture resembles coarse meal.
Then add vinegar and mix gently.
Then sprinkle in ice water, a teaspoon at a time, stirring with fork after each addition, until the dough holds together in a moist mass with no dry crumbs.
Chill for a few hours before rolling into crust.
