Ginny'S Mexican Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
    1/2 large onion, chopped
    1 can cream of celery soup
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    6 to 8 slices cheese
    1 can chopped green chilies (and juice)
    1/4 to 1/3 c. water
    garlic salt
    pepper
    8 to 10 tortillas
Preparation
    Brown the meat and onion in a skillet. Drain fat. Combine rest of the ingredients except tortillas and cheese. Add to meat mixture.
    In a Pyrex casserole dish, layer the meat sauce, tortillas, meat sauce, tortillas and end with a layer of meat mixture. Bake 30 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Top casserole with cheese and bake just long enough to melt the cheese.
