Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 to 1 1/2 lb. beef, cut in small cubes
    1 Tbsp. Promise margarine
    2 medium onions, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    4 carrots, sliced thickly in rounds
    6 potatoes, cubed (approximately 1-inch)
    1 (29 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    2 bouillon cubes
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook
    in
    Dutch
    oven
    or
    6 quart pot.
    Saute onion in Promise.
    Add
    beef and cook on medium heat until most of pink is gone.
    Add\ttomatoes,
    carrots
    and potatoes, bay leaf and bouillon
    cube.
    Bring
    to\tboil and then reduce to simmer for approximately 20 to 25 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add pepper
    and
    check
    for salt.
    Add if necessary.
    Stew is even better the second day.
    Good served with garlic bread.
