Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
3 eggs, separated
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Scald milk.
Add cornmeal and salt slowly.
Cook until thick and smooth.
Cool slightly.
Add egg yolks one at at time and beat after each addition.
Beat in baking powder.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour into greased 2-quart casserole.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven for about 35 minutes or until firm and crust is brown. Serve with whipped butter.
Good with ham or chicken and salad.
