Date Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sweet milk
    3 c. sugar
    1 lb. dates
    1 c. nuts
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Boil sugar, milk and butter until forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Add nuts and dates (which have been cut into small pieces). Boil 10 more minutes.
    Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
    Let cool.
    Beat until thick enough to pour on damp cloth.
    Roll up in cloth.
    Cut when cool.
