Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can crushed pineapple (juice and all)
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 small box cherry jello
    1 large cream cheese
    1 small can evaporated milk
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    medium jar maraschino cherries, chopped
Preparation
    Bring to boil pineapple and sugar, remove from heat and add jello and softened cream cheese.
    Cool.
    Add milk, cherries and nuts.
    Mold and refrigerate.
