Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can sour pitted cherries
    1 c. sugar
    1 pkg. cherry jello
    1 envelope unflavored gelatin
    1 small can crushed pineapple
    6 oz. orange juice
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix 1/2 cup cold water with gelatins.
    Bring cherries and sugar to boil; remove from heat and add gelatins.
    Cool.
    (Place pan in cold water with ice cubes until slightly cool.)
    After mixture is cool, add pineapple, orange juice and chopped nuts.
    Pour in mold and refrigerate until solid.
