Italian Twists - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks and 1 egg white
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. confectioners sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. rum extract
    1 1/2 c. flour
    oil for deep frying
Preparation
    Add salt to eggs and beat.
    Add sugar, vanilla and rum extract; beat until well blended.
    Stir in flour, a little at a time, until dough can be kneaded.
    On a well floured board, knead until the dough blisters.
    Cut in half.
    Roll very thin and cut into strips, about 4-inches long.
    Slit each piece in center and pull one end through slit, making sure knot is in the center.
    Fry in hot oil until lightly browned.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
