Daddy'S German Pancake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    1 large egg
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Mix flour, milk and salt until smooth.
    Add egg; mix until smooth.
    Melt butter and shortening in a heavy iron pan with sloping sides.
    Add batter.
    Bake in 425\u00b0 oven (preheated) about 12 minutes or until fully puffed and golden brown.
    Pancake will not begin to rise before 7 or 8 minutes.
