North Carolina Sour Cream Corn Bread - cooking recipe

1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. milk
1 c. dairy sour cream
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Beat egg, milk and butter together.
Add milk mixture and sour cream to dry ingredients.
Stir just until dry ingredients are blended.
Pour into buttered 8-inch square baking pan.
Bake 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out of the center of the corn bread clean as a whistle.
