Blind Bird (Rolade) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    thin round steak
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1 medium sliced onion
    bacon
    flour
Preparation
    Cut round steak into 2-inch strips.
    Salt and pepper to taste. Place a small piece of bacon and sliced onion on each strip of steak.
    Roll up and fasten with a toothpick.
    Dip in flour and brown quickly in hot grease (shortening or drippings).
    Put on simmer.
    Add 1/2 cup water; cover and simmer for about 2 hours. Remove meat from the pan and make gravy from the drippings.
