Crunchy Peanut Butter Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. corn syrup (light)
    2/3 c. peanut butter (not low fat)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. Rice Krispies cereal
    3 oz. Hershey's chocolate bar
    6 oz. butterscotch chips
Preparation
    Cook sugar and corn syrup over moderate heat in a 3 quart saucepan until mixture boils.
    Remove from heat and add peanut butter and vanilla.
    Mix well.
    Grease a 9-inch square pan.
    Add Rice Krispies to mixture.
    Mix well.
    Press mixture into pan and cool.
    Melt chocolate bars and butterscotch pieces together and stir until well blended.
    Spread evenly over cereal mix.
    Cool. Cut into squares (48 to 64 pieces).
