Trifle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yellow cake mix, prepared and cooked according to pkg. directions
    16 oz. frozen strawberries, thawed and halved
    1 small pkg. vanilla instant pudding, prepared according to pkg. directions, but not set
    1 c. whipped topping
    1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds
Preparation
    Cut the cake into 15 to 20 chunks.
    Place half the chunks in large bowl.
    Pour half the strawberries over the cake.
    Spread half the pudding over the strawberries.
    Add another layer of cake, strawberries and pudding.
    Cover and chill 4 to 6 hours. Spoon on the whipped topping.
    Sprinkle with the almonds.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
