Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
3 Tbsp. milk
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 oz. melted chocolate
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add egg yolk, milk and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients together and add gradually to creamed mixture.
Divide dough into halves and add chocolate to one half.
Roll white dough into a thin sheet.
Roll chocolate dough the same.
Place chocolate dough over white dough and press gently.
Roll up as for a jelly roll, approximately 2-inches in diameter.
Set in icebox for several hours to firm.
Cut into thin slices and bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen.
