Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal (Quick)
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour water over oatmeal and let stand 20 minutes.
    Then add shortening, white sugar, brown sugar and eggs to oatmeal mixture. Mix all ingredients together and bake in a moderate oven, until done; use a toothpick to check if done.
