Cherry-Fruit Pie * - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 can sour cherries, drain and reserve juice
4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1 pkg. cherry Jell-O
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 bananas
1 small can crushed pineapple, drain and reserve juice
1 c. pecans, chopped
2 pie shells, baked
Cool Whip or whipped cream
Preparation

Add cornstarch to juices and water.
Cook on medium heat until thick and clear, 10 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat, add Jell-O and stir until dissolved.
Add sugar and stir; add cherries and pineapple, set aside to cool or place in freezer for 5 minutes. When slightly set, add bananas and nuts. Pour into baked pie shells and chill several hours.
Top with whipped cream to serve.
Makes 2 pies.
