Health Bread Or Radical Raisin Bread - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. raisins
2 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. bran or wheat flakes
Preparation

If you call this Health Bread your kid's won't touch it so make up a more tasty name.
This bread must sit 24 hours before slicing.
