Lazy Daisy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. boiling milk
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. pastry flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat eggs.
    Add sugar gradually, beating constantly.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Sift dry ingredients and add next, still beating.
    Scald milk and add butter.
    Add this last and give it a dozen more hard beats.
    Grease and flour pan (8 x 11-inch pan). Bake in moderate oven for 25 minutes.
    Allow to cool and pour over it the icing.
