Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk
1 egg
Preparation

Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening.
Add milk and egg.
Place on lightly floured pastry cloth. Gently knead 20 times.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve hot with butter and jam. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.
