Hushpuppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. self-rising cornmeal
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 small onion, chopped
touch of garlic powder
1 egg
salt
enough buttermilk to make consistency of cornbread

Preparation

Mix all ingredients and add buttermilk until mixture has consistency of cornbread.
Deep fry in oil until brown.
