Peanut Butter Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    3/4 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. flour
    pinch of salt
    3 egg yolks
    3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix powdered sugar and peanut butter together until crumbly. Set aside.
    Stir next
    8 ingredients together in saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Bring to just below boiling point and cook a few minutes more.
    Sprinkle 2/3 of peanut butter mixture in bottom of baked pie shell.
    Pour custard over this.
    Use remaining peanut butter mixture for top.
    Make a meringue of egg whites, cream of tartar and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Spread over custard and sprinkle with remainder of peanut butter mixture. Bake at 350\u00b0 until meringue is browned.
