Caramel Corn(Cracker Jacks) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. popped popcorn
    1/2 c. honey or white syrup
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Lightly salt popcorn and set aside.
    In a 3-quart saucepan bring honey or white syrup, brown sugar and margarine to a boil. Boil 5 minutes over medium heat.
    Take off heat and add vanilla and baking soda.
    Stir until well mixed.
    Pour over popcorn; add peanuts, if desired, and stir.
    Butter a roasting pan and pour in caramel corn.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Butter a sheet of aluminum foil and place corn on this to cool.
