Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, sliced
    2 green peppers, chopped finely
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 lb. hamburg
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    1/2 c. uncooked rice
    1 tsp. chili powder
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook onions and green peppers in fat slowly, until tender.
    Add hamburg and fry until brown.
    Add tomatoes, rice, salt, pepper and chili powder and mix thoroughly.
    Pour into casserole.
    Cover and bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
