Golden Fry Batter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. oil
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1 egg
Preparation
    Place all except half of the milk in a jar and shake vigorously until well mixed. Add rest of milk and shake again lightly. Good for frying squash, green tomatoes, okra, onion rings, apple rings, etc.
    Before frying, shake the vegetable, etc., in small bag of flour. Dip in batter and fry in deep fat until brown.
