Tom'S Tamale Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    6 oz. can tomato paste
    10 oz. can diced tomatoes and green chilies
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    3/4 c. water
    8 slices La Victoria nacho jalapenos, finely chopped
    11 oz. can whole kernel corn, drained
    8 oz. cubed Velveeta cheese
    1/2 c. milk (1%)
    1 large egg
    1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix (8.5 oz.)
Preparation
    Brown ground beef (pour off all fat).
    Blend in 2-quart casserole the beef, chili powder, garlic powder, tomato paste, tomatoes and green chilies, corn, water and jalapenos.
    Cover with lid and microwave on High for 8 minutes or until steaming hot.
    In a mixing bowl, beat milk and egg, then stir in the muffin mix. Press the cubes of cheese into the surface of the meat mixture and spoon on the muffin batter to cover the top.
    Bake uncovered at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until the corn bread tests done.
