Norwegian Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head shredded cabbage
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. sugar
    1 c. white vinegar
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    2 c. diced celery
    1 green pepper
    1 small diced onion
Preparation
    Combine cabbage and salt.
    Let stand for 2 hours.
    Boil together sugar and vinegar.
    Take off stove and add mustard seed, celery seed, celery, green pepper and onion.
    Pour cooled vinegar syrup over cabbage and let stand in refrigerator before serving.
