Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. white Karo syrup
    3/4 c. cold water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix sugar, syrup and water.
    Cook slowly until 1/3 teaspoon forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water.
    Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into syrup mixture.
    Gently fold in vanilla and pecans.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper; allow to harden before serving.
