Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. sweet potatoes
    1 lb. butter
    1 1/2 boxes light brown sugar
    water
Preparation
    Cook potatoes and peel.
    Do not overcook!!
    Slice lengthwise when cool.
    Melt 2 sticks of butter in electric frying pan. Stir in half of the brown sugar.
    Bring to boil.
    Add water as needed. Cook until thick.
    Lay sweet potatoes in single layers into syrup.
    Turn until coated.
    Serve hot.
    You will need to replenish mixture at least twice.
