Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/4 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. rum extract
1 tsp. coconut extract
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. almond extract
Preparation

Cream butter and shortening.
Gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
Mix until blended after each addition.
Stir in rum and coconut extracts.
