Baked Acorn Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 acorn squash, cut crosswise in slices, 1 1/4 inches thick
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper
    1/4 c. butter
Preparation
    Place squash rings in a single layer in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Add water; cover with foil.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 60 minutes.
    To serve, season with salt and pepper; dot with butter.
    Makes 8 servings.
