Donuts - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg, beaten
1 Tbsp. shortening
Preparation

Mix sugar in warm water and add yeast. Let set for five minutes. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl and add enough flour to make a thick dough. Pour out on a floured board and work in flour. Roll out and cut out donuts. Fry in hot shortening.
