Double Fudge Saucepan Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. water
    2 c. (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook sugar, butter or margarine and water in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture boils.
    Remove from heat.
    Immediately stir in 1 cup chips, stirring until melted.
    Stir in eggs and vanilla until blended.
    Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
    Add to chocolate mixture.
    Stir in remaining 1 cup chips and nuts.
    Pour into greased 9-inch square pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Cool completely.
    Cut into bars.
    Makes 1 1/2 dozen bars.
