Bread Pudding - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. hot milk
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. fine bread crumbs (about 6 slices dried bread)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation

Soak bread crumbs in milk; stir well. Beat eggs with sugar and salt. Add to bread/milk mixture with vanilla and butter.
Pour into an 8 x 12-inch buttered casserole.
Sprinkle raisins on top. They will sink.
Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
Makes 12 servings.
