Country Supper Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. diced, cooked chicken or turkey
    1 onion, chopped
    1 garlic clove, crushed
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 c. water
    1 can tomatoes
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 can kidney beans
    3 carrots, sliced
    3 stalks celery, sliced
    3 Tbsp. rice
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
    1/2 small head cabbage, chopped
Preparation
    In a heavy 2-quart saucepan, heat chicken, onion and garlic in butter until onion is transparent.
    Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
    Serves 6 to 8.
