White Mushroom Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. milk
    1 c. water
    1 onion, chopped
    1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1/2 tsp. tarragon
    1/4 tsp. dill weed
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 c. sherry
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Saute mushrooms and onion in water until soft.
    Add rest of ingredients except cornstarch, bring to a boil, stirring often. Blend cornstarch with 1/3 cup cool water.
    Add to white sauce and cook until thickened.
