Low-Fat Oatmeal Muffins(Cholesterol Lowering) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. oat bran
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 egg whites or 1/2 c. egg substitute
    3/4 c. skim milk or equal parts nondairy creamer and water
    1/2 c. applesauce or honey or maple syrup
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/4 c. raisins and/or 1/4 c. nuts or apple chips (optional)
Preparation
    Run oat bran through food processor a few minutes to make more like flour consistency.
    Combine dry ingredients; combine liquids and add to the dry ingredients.
    Add raisins or nuts.
    Mix until just moistened.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Makes 12 muffins.
